Current release 31

🎉 Welcome to Acodis Platform 31! 🎉

Our latest release introduces powerful new features and improvements that bring greater control, security, and efficiency to your workflows. Let’s dive into what’s new and exciting in Version 31!

✨ New Features

Version 31 of the Acodis Platform introduces ACL-based user permissions, allows you to download export assets from the transaction list and comes with several UX improvements.

🚨 [Custom Workspace] Detailed User Permissions Control

With the release of version 31.x.x, you now have more power in setting user permissions by means of Access Control Lists (ACLs). To give you maximum flexibility in setting up access control in your Platform environment, we have added the ability to set user permissions on the following levels:

  • Entire workflows

  • Individual collections

  • Single documents level

Managing Workflow Level Permissions

As an Admin or Automation Manager user, you are allowed to manage workflow level permissions. To be able to access the permissions settings you will have to right-click on the workflow and chose the Manage Access menu entry.

Once you click on the menu entry, a new pop-up window is displayed containing the current settings for the workflow permissions. You can update the permissions for both the workflow itself, as well as for newly imported documents by adding or removing users or groups of users to suit your needs and save the new configuration.

The second set of permissions defines who will have access to documents processed with the workflow at hand. It does not have a retro-active effect on previously imported documents but will affect all documents imported using this workflow going forward.

Managing Collection Level Permissions

To set new permissions or change the existing ones you have to be an Admin or Automation Manager. If your user account belongs to one of these roles, you can manage access by right-clicking on the collection and chose the Manage Access menu entry.

After clicking on the Manage Access menu, a new pop-up window opens in which you can add or remove users or groups of users for both the workflow itself, as well as for newly imported documents by adding or removing users or groups of users to suit your needs and save the new configuration.

The second set of permissions defines who will have access to documents processed with the workflow at hand. It does not have a retro-active effect on previously imported documents but will affect all documents imported using this workflow going forward.

Manage Document Level Permissions

With an Admin or Automation Manager role, you can manage the permissions settings on a document level. To update the current settings you will have to right-click on the document and chose the Manage Access menu entry.

Clicking on the Manage Access menu entry will display a pop-up window containing the current settings. In here you can add or remove users or groups of users to achieve the result you are looking for. Once you are happy with the new configuration, you will have to save it for it to come into effect.

[Custom Workspace] Download Export Assets from Transaction list

This feature allows you to download the export assets via the transaction list similarly to the Assisted Mode workflows.

As long as a document in the transactions list is marked as Processed, you will be able to see a Download Data menu entry under the Actions menu.

Clicking on it will bring up a pop-up window that allows you to chose the Data Source as well as the Format you want the data exported in.

🛠 Technical Improvements

💡 [Custom Workspace] Display Enumerators in Export View as per Document

With this improvement, we make sure that enumerators are previewed using the characters from the source document in the Export View. This change allows the preview to more closely reflect the data as it gets exported.

📑 [Custom Workspace] Add "force reading order" to "Element" steps configuration

An additional setting Enforce Reading Order within was added to the Element steps to allow users to force the reprocessing of the text order, taking into account the elements' position in the rendered page. By default, this setting is set to false.

Warning before deleting a schema item

When deleting a schema item (i.e., data point, list, group) from the data points view, the user will now see a pop-up warning asking for confirmation with options to Delete or Cancel.
