New Features

[Beta] Checkbox Recognition and Extraction

This release introduces checkbox recognition and extraction in early beta stage, and it currently only supports:

  • Native checkboxes:

    • U-2610:

    • U-2612:

  • Within

    • Native PDFs

    • Word documents (Native Word Import disabled in platform)

Assisted Mode

The checkboxes can be added to the schema by marking and labelling them.

A large number of checkboxes can be added using lists if the checkboxes form columns. In this case, first add the column of checkboxes to the list and then add the column of labels to the list.

Expert Mode

The Native Checkboxes Detection step converts checkboxes from their native format to their Unicode representation. If they are already in Unicode, this step is not required and the Native Text step is sufficient.

Usability Improvements

[Expert Mode] Run Analysis on Multiple Documents

This release allows the user to run an analysis on multiple documents at once. Simply select the documents in the collection, right-click and select the analysis to be run.

Technical Improvements

[Assisted Mode] Support for XML Export Key of Label starting with a Number

Previous releases do not support XML export if a label’s export key does not conform with the XML syntax (e.g. the export key begins with a number).

This release supports export keys beginning with a number by replacing it with an underscore. All non-valid XML name start characters are replaced with an underscore.
